The Dolomites

This past holiday, Ines, our dog Simba, and I visited the Dolomites, a stunning mountain range in northern Italy. Known for its dramatic peaks, lush valleys, and charming villages, the Dolomites are a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

The trip blended relaxation and hiking. Simba loved to run in the open spaces, while Ines and I tried to keep up. We visited iconic spots like Braies and Sorapis, lakes with crystal-clear waters that are surrounded by the towering peaks.

As a photographer, I couldn’t resist capturing the beauty of the Dolomites in a moody cloudy attire, which works so good with the pastel colors of Kodak Portra 400. The dramatic landscapes offered endless photo opportunities. It wasn’t just a getaway, but a chance to disconnect, recharge, and create lasting memories in nature.
