Zermatt

August, 2024.
In the summer I visited Zermatt with Ines and our dog, Simba. The village, known for the Matterhorn, has a long history of climbing, dating back to the first ascent in 1865. I brought my Leica M-A, Kodak Gold 200 film, and two lenses (35mm and 50mm) to capture the trip.
Zermatt is quiet and car-free, with cobblestone streets, small cafés, and wooden houses. The Matterhorn was the main focus, and I spent time photographing it from different angles, with Kodak film giving the shots a classic look.
Beyond the village, there are plenty of hiking options, from easy walks like the Five Lakes Trail to tougher routes over the glaciers leading to mountain huts such as Monte Rosa Hut. We also took the Gornergrat Railway for views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers.
Take a look at the scans, hope you like them.
